CA, TX & TN - Day 17

Sunday, June 25, 2023

We slept in! It was so nice to have a relaxing-ish morning. We got moving and hit the road a little after 9:00.

First real stop was Buc-ees in Kentucky.

Chris did the majority of the driving while I happily crocheted and played the music. I did pitch in a little bit.

9:00 - Chris passed me off to my car in the rain, she helped me transfer my luggage, we said our goodbyes and then I was off to home.
11:15 I arrived home to a full house. Dad and Carol were already in the house after their visit to the Ark and then a slow ride to my house because of the rain.

I finally have Sabrina back in my arms, until she ran away. But she was purring so I think she was happy too.

17 days on the road with family, friends and great adventures!!! I’m so 🍀 and 😃

WEDDING DAY!
6:00 - Our day started very early to get the day ready to celebrate all things Dana and Carlos.

First up, loading all the many flowers into the cars to get them to the venue and make it look and smell gorgeous!

Peggy and Garrett were the flower masters! They made the venue look gorgeous.

8:30 - Chris and I were charged with an important coffee and sweets run. The cafe was PACKED! Everything was delicious so I can see why they were busy.

The bridal suite was full of hair and makeup and getting all fancied up for the day.

All dressed up and getting ready for the ceremony.

The ceremony was gorgeous! My favorite part was seeing Carlos tear up and cry seeing Dana walking down the aisle and hearing them read their vows to each other. So sweet! My biggest cheer was when they announced the newest married couple!

So many smiles with the happy couple!

Let the party begin!

8:30 - Time to load up our cars and head back to the house to crash for the night.

We had a wonderful chat with Dad, Carol, Barbara, Georgia, Brian, Regina, Chris and I where we replayed the excitement from the wonderful day. I was so pleased to be present this week and celebrate with Dana and Carlos and cheer them on into their next chapter of life. ❤️
